PLEASE HELP...I am GoNna start nursing school...IS THERE ANY WAY THAT I CAN GET FINANCIAL AID FOR SCHOOL? |
I reallly neeeed money for college. I have applied through FAFA for the past tow years and they gave me NOTHING!....just loanz....but i want free money...like scholarships!! What do i do?? People say that so many scholarships go UN awarded but ive applied to soooo many! and i get letters back saying that i wasnt chosen! I worked so harddd, but i can't get any. And it serioulsy hurts to see that my friendz get this money FREE from the government and i dont. It is just not fair :-(. I have even done over 100 plus hours of volunteering in the Emergency Room at the hospital, and i applied for that scholarship...and i STILL didn't get any! Is there ANYTHING i can dooo to get money?? Just cuz fafsa doesnt give me any..it doesnt mean i dont need it!! We JUST bought a new house.....we don't have anything...!!! Your lucky to get loans. Some don't have anything. I had little scholarship money either and I needed it also. The government does not owe you a free handout. You are entitled to a free and public education through 12th grade. Life is hard work. BUT, some scholarships are based on your track record once you are in a program. Many people go through college with student loans and successfully pay them back because they then qualify for a higher paying job. I did. Nursing is a difficult profession. So is teaching. I went through undergrad school and graduate school with primarily student loans. I have been searching for scholarship money for a Ph.D. program I would like to take. When the time is right that I start the program, I will start the program with whatever assistance I can get--a student loan is a type of assistance. I do understand your frustration--truly I do--both for schooling and for starting a business. Hang in there! The volunteer work you have done may pay off with a scholarship yet. In the meantime, work for pay now and budget your money as best you can. Remember that you have a grace period on student loans until a few months after you graduate through your program in order to give you time to find employment in the higher paying position you will be qualified for. Best wishes! keep trying, if they dont then oh well....just get a loan one that doesn't require you to pay untill you graduate otherwise just get a different job ne that doesn't you to work 12hour shifts and that pays better...... |
