Another health profession other than nursing? |
I have a year and a half left before I graduate and am in my first semester of nursing school. I don't know if it is for me b/c I just can't seem to keep up and I don't know if my skills are as good as my teachers want them to be. Both physical and mental skills. If I'm struggling now, I'm definitely going to struggle later when the classes get VERY hard!! I was just wondering what other health profession could I possibly switch to this late in my college career? I want this job to be a successful job with a decent salary. Does anyone know of someone who started out in nursing and switched? If so I would like to know what and how they are liking their decision so far!! I still want to do health care and stay in the medical field though, I'm just not sure what carreer I want in it. If anyone could help me out with this, that would be GREAT!! I'm just getting really stressed and worried right now!! Nursing school is very specific, but would probably qualify you for the nursing assistant types of jobs or the licenced practical nurse types of positions. Possibly you could consider one of the medical technology positions, with a change in your focus of study. Phlebotomy may be an option. Best of luck with it all. You could major in Radiology and become a radiologist The other answers are very good. Radiology, Medical technician, laboratory technician, phlebotomist are all good options. |
