Grades in college? |
well, this is my 1st year of college and so far, sad to say, im not doing too well...gpa is below 3.0...i really want to major in nursing and i hope to be able to get into the nursing program...i heard that it is hard to pull my grades up like this, and believe it or not, i did study hard for tests but i still did bad on it...what can i do?...plus, im a really shy student so i dont really participate unless i have to and i dont ask my professors and ta questions That is not that bad of a GPA for college but if you have plans for attending another program after your undergrad, you will need to try and raise it and at the very least, not let it drop. You need to get over some of your shyness (I know that is hard, I was very shy when I first started college) because professors will take into consideration attendance and participation when it comes to grades. You also need to ask professors questions when you are having problems even if you wait until after class or go to their office so you don't have to ask in front of everyone. You can also find out what tutoring is offered on your campus. Usually honor societies and departments will offer tutoring for lower level classes (freshman to sophomore classes) for free. |
