When I go off to college I want to be a nurse in OB/GYN what classes do I have to take what's next after that

I want to be a nurse in OB and GYN working in a hospital I'm just kind of lost.I just need to know what kind of classes and what kind of degrees I nedd and after I graduate do I have to go to another school?

but don't I have to go to college before nursing school?

You need to go to nursing school. They usually have mother/baby classes in nursing school. You need to have a strong science, chemistry, and math background. Good luck. You dont have to go to college before nursing school. You can be accepted to a university that has a nursing program or go to a community college that has the program. You don't have to get an associates degree at a community college unless you aren't accepted to a 4 year school.

If you are still in high school, take as much math, biology, chemistry, as you can. Talk to your guidance counselor. Check the college web sites. Talk to a nurse!

you need to get your aa degree and take microbiology, chemistry, and a critical thinking type of english class usually you will have to take at least two college level english couurses and pass some assesment tests before you are accepted into a nursing program at the community college levl go to the nursing departments at the schools in your area and compare them they are all similar after you graduate there are usually new grad mother baby training positions available at local hospitals
