Community college to ivy leauge? (or close to it..?)?

i'm thinking about instead of applying straight to college of maybe staying home and going to community college for a year to get my grades up, now i know ivy leagues don't usually accept transfer students but i was wondering how i would go about the whole community college to a 'close to ivy leauge' school. i would really like to start as a freshman at that school.. is that possible? any info on this would be great
ps i am planning on going to nursing school if that helps!

I have a friend that did two years at community college an then transfered to Georgetown. He's now a prof at an Ivy League school. (He's also very smart, very motivated, and good at what he does)

Why would you go to an Ivy for nursing school? You really should research the best nursing schools, particularly if you have a special area of interest, and then ask their admissions departments what their policies are concerning transfers.
