Am I making a bad decision to pursue the Nursing route?

When I first went to college, I was full blown undecided. After taking several classes, I thought Business was interesting on a side of Nursing. However, I'm not very good at Biology despite studying hard. I pulled a high C. I was thinking of getting Bus degree. My mom gave me insights in nursing. She wants me to become a nurse. So im having second thoughts about my career route. I dunno if im the type of people who wants to become a nurse but I like helping people. I'm friendly and team oriented. I barely turn 20 so is pursuing the nursing route too late for me? I have alot to catch up (just the science courses) and 4 GEs (Nutrition, Psych, History and government) Stupid.

basically, start by ignoring your mom (hard to do; i know...) and go with what makes you happiest inside, and with what gives you the GREATEST sense of satisfaction in life (for some people it's business, for others it's nursing).

if you're friendly and enjoy helping people nursing might be your thing (I don't know a whole lot of nice businessmen :-)

being barely 20 is by no means too late to start nursing (in fact some if my old professors might say that's a big too young; I was about 22 when I started nursing school and I was practically a kid...)

you can try talking to a guidance counselor or even calling a hospital to see if you can volunteer at one and feel free to ask nurses questions about their field; it would be a great way to learn more about the profession and some of the diversity there is in our field.
