Nursing - Will the CA BRN accept a practicing RN x 1 yr & Excelsior Grad? |
Nursing 鈥?Will CA BRN allow someone who has been licensed as an RN outside of CA to get a CA License if that person graduated from Excelsior College? I know you cannot directly take the Boards as a 鈥渘ew Grad鈥?from Excelsior. Will the BRN accept someone who has practiced at a California VA (with another state license) for more then a year? The California BRN does not recognize Excelsior College as meeting their requirements. Even with experience you will need to attend another nursing program for another degree. Since your primary degree is from an on-line college, the CA BRN will probably not accept an online RN to BSN. You should look into getting an RN to BSN. This might be difficult as you cannot use your RN credentials for clinicals during this program. yes go to the calfornia state website |

First, I don't know what schools are in GA.. if u do a search for colleges in Atlanta (online)..u will find a list..Are u wanting RN or LPN.. LPN is full time days..RN offers classes @ differe... Most scholarships are awarded before the fall term and this money is set for the duration (usually 1 or 2 semesters) of the scholarship. But his could vary greatly on who is "sponsoring"... Almost any accredited college in the US can get you a student visa. Most community (2 year) colleges offer Associate's degrees in nursing. Some of the BSN (4 year degrees) offered are at: ... Well, this is hopefully a question you can answer yourself a bit. Perhaps it is not your first choice, but what does it have that the many other schools you didn't even apply to have? Is it ... Actually as a pre-medical major myself I am attest to the fact that pre-medical and RN majors are separate. In pre-medical, one must take organic chemistry, physics, two semesters of calculus, etc... Because of the demand in nursing, your GPA and testing abilities are key to get into any nursing program where I live. They do not have waiting lists any more, and they have increased the prerequi... In my opionion, BSN programs at Universities that have Hopsitals attached to them have a better edge than other school. They don't have clinicals based on the schedule of other institutions..... go ta ireland ... |
