Nursing HeLP?

i WANT TO ATTEND SCHOOL FOR NURSING AND WOULD LIKE ADVICE FROM THE PROS....I want to know if because of my situation( i'm 21 a single parent and currently out of work and persuing attending college for the 1st time) if I should go for my bsn or adn....I would love to have a management position because i definitely would'nt want to do bedside longterm....any help is great ...i would like to complete in the shortest amount of time and so should i go for asn and bridge to bsn?......Also what are the career titles available in management/administration?...

In order to be taken seriously in a management position, you need to have lots and lots of bedside experience or you will not be able to relate or deal with the problems on the floor. I'm sorry to tell you but there are TONS of nurses with loads of bedside experience that will get the position over you. You can't just waltz in after you finish school and become management, doesn't work that way in nursing, especially now that (in Canada anyways), All nurses need to have they're BSN

So my best advice if you don't want to be at the bedside DON'T BECOME a nurse.

you should check out a college and ask them for informaitons about nursing
