I want to change my major from nursing? |
what is another major related to helath realted major that i can find a job? well nursing is a good major and i heard you can paid really good money that is why i want to major in nursing family pressure. recently however, i found out that most school require 3.0 GPA which i don't i'm closer but i don't have exactly 3.0 GPA and that really scares the hell out of me. i mean i am doing well on bio and other subjects but i still have to take physiology and antomy so i'm kind of scared whether i am able to maintain that GPA or not. so should i go to nursing or should i change my major before it gets too let. i have only two weeks left to decide because i am about to leave my school and transfer. i am transfering from four year college to another four year college so what should i do and what kind of major is it availabel to get a good job. i know this ackward and don't say that talk to your adviser i did and i didn't get satsfactory answer so i really need a good fedback please help? Because so many Nursing programs are impacted it will be hard to get accpeted. Especially with a GPA below the averaged applicant. But if Nursing is something you really have a passion for then keep trying and raise your GPA, be patient and retake some classes. Otherwise you can try to pusure a career in Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), Respiratory Therapy, etc. or Assistants of the profession i just mentioned. Some schools offer pre-PT or pre-OT majors or you can major in Kinesiology (exercise science or kinesiothery) to meet pre-reqs. try Basket Weaving don't worry about the GPA. you'll get in. what about healthcare administration? If you don't want to become a nurse, but want a health care related field, i'd suggest something like a dental hygienist. It's tough work though. Maybe a physical therapy assistant, or a physical therapist for that matter. They're all very secure and great health care careers. some people go for the LPN votec lisense first for the purpose of increasing the gpa and the on hands experience...it takes a little longer but to save a career makes it worth it...from an RN, take it from me on this note anyway..."nursing isn't something u just do....it's who you become!" best wishes. Weigh your strengths and weaknesses. Nursing is a tough thing to get into and thats both on the BSN and RN (community college) level. The gpa for anything you apply for is an easy way to rank everything to make the selection process easier. Check out the open seats for the fall semester/quater in nursing for the school you are transferring to. They're probably filled for the next year and have a waiting list. Look into it and see for yourself if it's realistic. If not and you think that there's no way you can get in within a reasonable amount of time, look into some allied medical professions. I know a lot of people who did radiology technology and work with xrays and minimal invasive procedures. You just can't administer medicine like nurses. As mentioned above you can always look into the more business aspect of medicine and to admin work. Either way make sure you choose something that best fits YOU and not those who influence you. You dont want to do something and later want to go back to school b/c you changed your mind. Seen it happen too much. Just make sure you choose something that you enjoy. Remember this saying: I have my BSN. I began at the two year level (community college) and then transferred to a four year school. It's not an easy major but you can do it. The pay off is that you make a lot of money to help people. Good luck and don't worry so much! Stop having too much sex if you can't control your sex life how can you be in control of your life being in control of your life means emotionally financially mentally ie mind body and spirit if you can't conrol your sex life how can you control your destiny fate and future i don't think you can control your life at all if you can't control your sex life |
