Transfer to Nursing or Stay in Business School? |
I have come to a crossroads in my college career. I have completed 3 years of business classes at UND. I like my investing classes but my GPA has suffered some hard hits from when I first came to school and was enrolled in the aviation program. I am thinking of transferring paths to nursing. I really like helping people and am interested in biology. The only thing is that I have a class A misdemenor charge on my record from when I got drunk at a party and road someones bike home, I was followed and arrested for theft. Will that be a big issue when getting hired for nursing positions? I was informed that since it was my first offense it would not normally show up on my record only for health care, and Federal professions. Thanks for your answers.... They can't outsource the good paying nursing jobs overseas like they can in any business. Your record won't matter. I think only if you have a felony that will affect your employment Transfer to Nursing You can make a lot more money with a business degree than you can in nursing. I attended one quarter of chiropractic college and decided it wasn't really what I wanted to do. Plus the school was pretty d?mn hard. I make just as much now in business as I would have staying in Chiropractic school, plus I sell medical products now, so I stilll feel like I am helping people. My sister is an RN and has work 12 hour shifts in the middle of the night for $35/hour. Keep that in mind. Well if you don't like business school, then don't do it. But keep in mind that nursing school is going to be alot harder than business school. But in return you will be helping people and will have job stability where in the business world you will not. |
