Is nursing school hard??

I am 23 years old and planning on attending nursing school in august. I am also a single mother of a small child, Is lpn school hard?? I'm a little scared about doing the whole school thing again since its been a while since i have been in school because a dropped out of college to have my daughter an now that i'm a single mother i know a have to make a good living for my child. But anyway...... just wondering how difficult lpn nursing school will be.

Good for you for going back. Nursing is an excellent choice. Nursese are definately in demand, and you can do a lot in a nursing career. There are so many options: you can work in a hospital, in a doctor's office, for a home health care agency, even for a medical device manufacturing company. Good choice!

Going back to school, in general, can be difficult. But (especially in nursing), there will be a lot of other students in your exact same situation. I know that my older students tend to make friends with each other very quickly, and they help each other study, do homework, and etc. Most schools also offer advising and study skills specifically geared to people returning to school, so ask about this and take advantage of whatever they offer.

But to your question - is nursing school hard? That depends on the student. In general, though, some of your classes will seem hard to you, and some easy. It depends on your own skills and what you're good at. But know that other students are in the exact same situation, and that any help you need is there for the asking - tutoring is usually free, help from professors is free, academic advising is free - you just need to ask.

Good luck!

LPN is nothing like going for your RN. It's a certificate, not a degree. You should be able to handle it.

Yes its hard as hell I am a single mother too and I am on the verge of a nervous break down
