What should i major in???? Nursing or Kinesiology???

I know the decision is up to me but i have narrowed it down to Nursing or Kinesiology. I want to get my Master's in Physician Assitant Studies afterwards. I don't know which is best for me, should i major in Kinesiology (exercise science) or should i major in Nursing (which are normally very hard to get in because of the programs are IMPACTED). If you can pls give me your opinion or advice.

Also, i know that Nursing can be very hard academically...as much as possible i would like to "enjoy" college as an undergrad before going to my master's program.....

Read the other answers and apparently none of them went to nursing school. If you can get in go with the nursing. First, you will not have any problem getting a job and your pay will be very good as far as the egghead that said your job is your life that is not true I work 3 days a week. As far as school goes it was hard the most difficult part being have to go to clinical where you go to the hospital the night before you have to be there and take care of patients; however, on a scale of 1-10 I would say it was a 4 on the difficulty level. About your PA aspirations that is cool but why not go for nurse practitioner look at help wanted ads they usually say PA/NP the jobs are basically interchangeable and they do the same thing in the hospital setting. Not to put down kinesiology, but I really do not think people will be knocking your doors down to give you a job.

If it were me i couldn't make up my mind either...
All I can say is...pick what you most enjoy.

choose Kinesiology (exercise science).

Nursing is a very hard but rewarding career and is in demand. However, in my personal opinion, I think you would enjoy Kinesiology because your not stuck in the books all day and you would be able enjoy college as an undergrad. Nurses are also sometimes not treated good by physicians and you will not have any free time for yourself because your job is your life. Besides, if you take the Kinesiology route you can become a certified/license athletic trainer depending in which state you live in and you will be like a nurse to athletes. You also have the chance to travel with athletes but the only bad part about this type of career is that you might also have off seasons, so you need to find a career somewhere else or work for a different sport. Perhaps you could try doing a dual/double major so you can do both. For example, you can be an athletic trainer during one season pertaining to the sport you would like and be a nurse on your off season. However, if you do like Kinesiology route maybe you can have a great career as a sports physician or a sports physician assistant! But either way no matter which degree you choose they both prepare you for a career as a Physician Assistant as long as you take Pre-med courses too.

Choose nursing! I'm a nursing a student and i love it! Yes, it's a hard program, but the end results are amazing. before you even graduate hospitals and other places are offering you jobs with amazing benefits. If you find the right job they'll even pay your undergrand school loans, plus pay for you to get your masters degree. Nursing is academically challenging, but i still i have a life outside of my major. I'm part of a sorority, i work part-time, and still go out on the weekends. Good luck with your choice!
