Are criminology careers in demand in Florida? Or Nursing?

Hi, I'm about to begin college. I'm in between of pursuing a career in criminology or nursing. I'm more interested in criminology, but I'm not sure if it's in demand in Florida. On the other hand, I've always wanted to be a nurse.........Any advice, facts, or statistics.

Currently in Florida, using one job search engine (careerbuilder.com) there were 3 criminology positions open all requiring a Master's or Doctorate degree, there were 2,215 nursing jobs available from associates degree and up.

Nursing is a major shortage field everywhere, and is the top health career field for job opportunities in the US currently.
