WHERE DO I BEGIN?HOW DO I GET MONEY FOR SCHOOL?
[HELP ME PLEASE_ANYBODY!!!!]

I also suggest you start at a community college then transfer. Some community colleges have pre-nursing programs that prepare you for a nursing program at a 4 year school. Also take the SAT and ACT. Fill out the FAFSA for financial aid ; you can do it on-line. Also check with the school's financial aid office about whatever application they use.

In addition to aid from the school and through FAFSA, there are also many scholarships and grants available from various corporations and organizations. Check that out through the financial aid office also. High school counselors also have info on such things.

Take it one step at a time. Stay calm. You CAN do this.

Good luck!

To go to a 4-year college, you have to have taken the SATs or ACT.

I'd suggest starting off at Community College, stay there for about a year (take your SAT/ACT during this year) and transfer.

Apply for financial aid and scholarships (FAFSA and anything the college will give you).

Start at your community college. Talk to a counselor who can help answer all your questions about grants, transfering to a 4-year school or nursing program. Good Luck !

First think about your career options. Nursing is a great field in terms of jobs needed. Do not worry about the SAT's or ACT honestly way overrated. Go to a 2 year school, matter of fact you can finish as a fully qualified RN after 2 years of college.

Now are you looking for a future as a nurse or as a nurse with management position available? If you are looking for a nurse, floor nurse 2 years may be a good option for you. If you are looking for a management position consider transferring after your first 2 years. The test to become an RN is given to both 2 and 4 year graduates. The advantage is a 4 year degree is you can go on to a masters in a specialty eventually leading to a NP which can prescribe medicines etc.

But the money, well that all depends on where you work. Real example, my ex is an RN with a 4 year degree from a state college makes about 50k -60k a year (almost 10 years experience). Her mother is RN works at a hospital ER tough work, on your feet all day makes almost double with 2 year degree. The job you pick will decide your life style, how hard it is and what you want to actually do. 4 year college alone will not decide your career it is in the end what you make of it.
