Too late for nursing school?

I know this may sound like a dumb question "of course you can still go to nursing school." Im a senior in high school . When I was applying to schools, I didn't apply as a nursing major, I applied as undecided because I wasnt sure around November. But now I feel as though ive made a mistake because its pretty much too late (programs are filled) for nursing and im pretty sure you can't go into them as a sophomore in college. What should I do?

You can still get in just talked to your advisor at whatever college you go to. The first semester you will just be taking basics anyways..The same thing happened to me and I am in the nursing program. good luck and dont worry.

You should talk to your academic advisor about this when you have to register for classes. Some schools have very competitive nursing programs that require you to apply specifically to them--you can't just switch your major that easily. You should check with your advisor to see if this is the case. If so, many schools will allow you to apply late, but you may have to complete extra semesters in order to finish all of your coursework.

If the nursing major is not based on application, then you should just be able to switch it as soon as you talk to your advisor (as the previous poster said). The best idea right now? Call the advising office at your school and ask.
