Quickest way to get RN degree in nursing? |
I'm 24 and have a bachelors degree is psychology. I'm not finding any jobs in my field so I'm thinking of switching to nursing. I've already been in college for 5 years and my husband's patience is wearing thin because he's been supporting us while I've been in college and now I can't find a good job. I was going to get my MSW but I'm afraid I won't find good jobs in social work either. You can do an Associates Degree that would take about 2 years and you would still get your R.N. Then after you start working you can go back part-time to finish your degree. You could go to a technical school and get an associate's degree in nursing, which takes two or three years. But since you already have your general classes done it would be quicker for you. As the others said, it will take about 3-4 years to become an RN. You might want to try an accelerated program. You can usually find a program that will get you an Associates in 18 months or less. The source link has a bunch of schools listed that you can check out. |
