How long does it take to become a registered nurse from a comm. college?

Once you get into the actual nursing program, it's about two years. However, with your pre-reqs figured in, it could take 3 - 4 1/2 years. It just depends on how many classes you take per semester.

Some schools will allow students to start the nursing program while they are still working on their pre-reqs, others will not. Call you school and ask to be sure.

The program is usually a full two years of study and clinical rotations. I have a link below that provides information.
