Associates Degree in Nursing; will the Navy help? |
After visiting the SOCNAV site and looking at the colleges there, Will the Navy help me get an Associates Degree in Nursing if I attend one of colleges under the SOCNAV college list? Also, I'm talking about one to two year(s) into my Navy career...not right after RTC or A school. yes they should beable to help you . as long as the school you are going to takes the G.I. Bill then you shouldn't have any problems. make sure that if they do take the G.I. Bill that you talk to the school VA rep so they can get all tha paper work you need. GREAT! Report It Once AD you will qualify for Tutition Assistance, this will pay for a certain number of credits per year (I believe it is 16 per year). Once you go past that amount you will need to pay for it yourself. And it doens't cover the cost of books. You won't be able to use the GI BIll right away as you have to put the original money into it ($100 per month for the first 12 months of your contract) and you have to have served a certain amount of time.
