A question about Nursing? |
Hello. Ever since I was little, I wanted to be an artist. All throughout high school, I had my career set on becoming some sort of an artist, until after I graduated. It was then that I decided to change my career, and it led me towards Nursing. I've been in college for a couple years now, and I'm doing very well in my pre-reqs for the Nursing program. I'm retaining a 4.0 GPA with all my classes including Anatomy & Physiology. I'm also a nursing assistant at a local assisted living residence and I absolutely love the people I take care of. I recently switched to another university because they had a bachelor's degree program. I want to get my full RN. I'm getting ready to take my second A & P course along with statistics and I'm quite nervous about it. I'm hoping that I'm going the right direction and it seems like my grades are telling me so, but again, I'm very unsure. Do you think I'm making the right decision? How hard is A & P II? (Again, I received an A in the first course.) A&P II is no harder than A&P I. And your nursing courses won't be much harder than those courses, either. If you can hold down a 4.0 with your pre-reqs, there's no reason to believe you will have any trouble at all in nursing school. I was a huge overachiever and had a 4.0 all through school too, and I'd fret over every lost point on every exam. Being obsessive pays off in the long run. You are definitely making the right decision... You may as well give it a try! Don't settle for just anything, go as far as you can in life!!!! Good luck! You'll do fine! You obviously already have great study skills, so keep it up! |
