Nursing Schools AA to BSN? |
Next semester I am going to start my prereqs. for the AA nursing program at a Community College. My plans are to get my AA and then maybe a few years later get my BSN and then my Masters. My question is: what are my options after getting my AA? Are online programs a good way to go or not? And after you have your AA is it hard to get into BSN programs?? thanks Check out the universities around you. University of South Florida in my area has an associates to masters program. You skip right over the BSN! I'm sure other universities would have the same program. good luck I would recommend going to a university for your BSN and then get your MSN online. There are more online programs for MSN than BSN. Also it actually easier to get in an BSN program with your AA thsan without it. I would say to just go for your BSN first and then Masters. It is easier to enjoy school and the fun that comes with it for 4 years to get a BSN without having to work fulltime, then to go to school for 2 years and rush your college experience, then work fulltime and go to school for a BSN. Some nursing schools do have special programs though that allow you to get your Associates while in school for your BSN. Not sure where you are from or plan on going but Cardinal Stritch in Wisconsin does that. |
