Comforting words for my friend who is in nursing...? |
Today my friend came into music class all in tears. She came back from clinical and told me that her first task for the day was to put her patient in a body bag, then her other patient died. She can stand people dieing really quick without pain but when she had to stand there and watch her one patient die in pain, it made her upset. This May she'll be graduating from college as a nurse. I felt bad and I didn't want to tell her. I know somewhat of what she was going through because volunteer firefighters see that happening a lot. But she said that when she watch her patient die in pain her mind couldn't rationalize it. Sorry what I meant was I didn't know what to tell her... i go through this a lot and its never easy but i just remind myself that the pt is not suffering anymore, no more pain! and tell her that it was good for her to be there it is better then someone dieing alone. |

There are several on line nursing degree programs which can be found if you type in to your search engine (on line degree programs for nursing). Here is the problem with them though. University of ... The nursing homes need CNA and will train and certify as you work and learn. Just pick one close to home. ...Check out the universities around you. And your nursing courses won't be much harder than those courses, either.
