How many years of college will I have to do to become a nurse?

Will I have to do EXTRA years after college if I want to become a nurse?........If so how many years will I have to do, and what school will I have to attend if I have to do EXTRA years?

if u want to become a LPN (school nurse),,,2 years
a RN (registered nurse)...work at hospitals.....4 years

It is possible to get an LPN with little or no college, but fully-degreed nurses are more highly paid, at least in the early years. There are nurse specialties that require some post-graduate work, but not all that many.

An LPN can be obtained from very short programs but an RN which get paid more and are usually more likely to get hired and recruited take at least two years I believe it is in a special nursing program. You also have to complete a certain amount of hours and stay up on the many certifications you'll need, depending on your field and where you work. You have to complete your GE courses which differ from college to college but can usually do this all at many universities or some good community colleges.
