Which has a high salary, a Nurse or a College Instructor/teacher? Im referring right there in the US.? |
Im one curious filipino. If you know the average salary of the two, pls included them. thanks. my wifes a nurse and the lady next door is a teacher. so the answer is nurse nurse i would think a nurse. but i think that it depends on what type of teacher or nurse you are. nurse. $18/hr for those LVN only (California). How much more if you're an RN which is ranging from $25/hr for convalescent or home care and $35-47/hr for urgent care. Teachers usually tied their time in one institution whereas a nurse may have 2nd or 3rd job in a day because hospitals or healthcare facilities are 24 hours open 7 days a week unlike schools or academe where only bats and squirrels are workin during the night around the school. an instructor has a good salary and great hours but working at a hospital pays much more especially weekend nights. College Instructor's level of pay varies a great deal. I was considering becoming a college insturctor for a while. The pay varied from school to school at different institutions. Nurses are in high demade, but so are teachers. The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career. More details and links to relevant websites available at http://tinyurl.com/rndxq On the website www.findacareerhere.com there is a salary calculator that tells you salary and also gives you a job description. Hope this helps. |
