Pediatric nursing? |
i am thinking about going to college for pediatric nursing. is that a good idea. Hi. I think nursing, especially pediatric nursing, is a great idea. However, it is truly up to you. When I finished nursing school, I thought that I wouldn't do pediatric nursing because I didn't like being around sick kids...way too sad. I started nursing on an adult floor and thought that I had made a wrong career choice. I talked to a friend that was a nurse on the pediatric floor and she said I should try it. I did and have been there since. It is so rewarding to me. But, some people have a real hard time dealing with sick children. If you are interested in nursing, you will have many choices. Keep your options open and look into all specialties. You might find that your niche is elsewhere. Or you might find that pediatrics is your one and only love. Good luck to you. And study, study, study.... follow your heart. If u think tht u can do good and understand tht u can achieve in pediatric nursing then Go ahead...U must listen to ur heart:) anyways it's good idea If you love kids you will have fun and it pays good. Just make sure you go to a good school. |
