If ur a nurse or know about nursing...plz...?

i'm considering taking some online classes or going to a local tech college to take nursing classes--it keeps asking me the specific subject i'm interested in and i'm just wanting to take the basics i'll need to be able to work in a hospital or dr. office for now...so what would that be. please help me out! lol. oh yeah and any additional comments are more than welcome (about nursing or what not) THANKS BUNCHES !!!

If you want to go into nursing, you need to find schools with nursing programs and ask them what they want you to have done before starting their actual nursing program. Most want freshman level general biology, chemistry, anatomy & physiology, microbiology as pre requisites (courses must be completed prior to starting nursing courses) and then there is always the general education requirements like English Comp, Psych, Sociology, math, etc.

Are you talking RN or LPN? RN will have more of these non-nursing courses than LPN will.

All schools have a little different requirements and you'll need to know what will transfer from other schools if you don't take all your courses at the same place.

And once you start nursing courses, you will be lucky if you can do any of them online. Part of the school's accreditation and part of how they are able to meet state licensure requirements is that they require students to do so many hours of class and clinical time, so you will not be able to do nursing 100% online.

I don't understand your question. Could you try to rephrase it?

Try a nursing fundamentals class. That is the basic class for nursing and with it you can apply for a cna license.

Maybe take a CMA class then. (Certified Medical Asst.) this will get your feet wet. Then decide if you want to become a nurse, LPN... at most Vo tech schools. 11 1/2 month course.
Then if you like it go for your RN if you want to advance. Good luck! Hope this Helps little
