Where can I find colleges, that offer auxiliary nursing courses in England? |
I am from Illinois in America, but I am considering going to England to reside. My future goal is to get into nursing, but I want to start out as a auxiliary nurse. The thing is I cannot find a college that offers that certain program. So please help in the right direction, because I am getting frustrated. I work for a Nursing Agency in England. We take people on for Auxiliary work with no experience - we provide a 4 day course of training & then you start in low key areas, domicilairy care for example. Look for books, or for websites, or maybe even go to a college counselor. You'll find something. An auxiliary nurse in the uk doesn't necessarily have to have any formal qualifications. Usually they take NVQ (National Vocational Qualifications) courses while actually doing the job. as has been said you can work as an auxilliary with no qualifications. But be warned if you want to train as a nurse in the UK you must have 5 years residency before you can enroll on a nursing course. |
