What would be better. should i go to the navy and get my nursing degree or stay in michigan and go to college?

That is entirely up to you. If you go to WSU, you'll have to pay for tuition. But if You go through the Navy you'll be going through 3 months of intense studying and practice to become a liscence Nurse. After your four year commitment of enlistment, all you would have to do is take the bar exam and find a suitable hospital you would like to work in as a civilian nurse, and with Military experience, that won't be very hard to do. Your pay will also be very very good too in the navy. Better than spending four years in college, having a loan and debt.

college. but im not a big fan of the military forces.... i had a lot of relatives in the military, they all lived through wars but i still think college is better.

Go to Michigan. it is safer.

If the only reason you're thinking about the Navy is to become a nurse, don't do it. Go to college.

You can do both. Join the ROTC at Wayne State while going to college. They will pay for your college. Then upon graduation, you will go into the military and work as a nurse.

It is a wonderful way to go. You get leadership training and it will give you a lot of career options when done.

Do both,,, it's called ROTC,,, and the Navy will pay your way through school.

The Navy can be a good place to reach your goals. If you score well on the ASVAB, you can just about pick any rate (job) that you want. There is also the ability to take classes while out to sea and 100% tutition assistance, plus the Montgomery GI bill.

I would suggest talking to a recruiter, go with a parent or older friend who can help you not make a rash decision, and find out what the navy has to offer.

If you do decide to join, well maybe someday I will see you in the fleet.

I would suggest college. If you have interest in the Navy as a career and a place to practice nursing, I suggest going to college and joining the NROTC. That way, you can go to college and join the Navy.
