I would like to go to nursing school but I have not attended a college in the past 15 years. I am retired for? |
past 2 and 1/2 years . How do I go about getting letter of recommendations. Please help me. I waited until I'd retired to go back to school full time. I was DEFINITELY the "old man" of all of my classes. Even older (and sometimes wiser and with more experience) than some of my professors. It took me a while (about a semester to settle down and get situated and oriented but after that, school was a breeze. Letters of recommendation? Ask former employers and old associates. Most will be more than happy to write you a glowing letter. Also, be aware that you will be the darling of the school for going. The prof.s (mostly) loved me as did the administration. I was asked on more than one occasion to sit in on various classes I'd not signed up for, purely to help the prof.. I highly recommend going back! Cast aside your inhibitions and doubt. Go for it and have fun! What is your major? |
