Which is the best college in the USA for a nursing degree?

A friend chose a certain school for nursing because it was easy to get into, but it turned out it was very difficult to stay in. This is just a friendly warning so you don't make the same mistake of choosing a school just because it's easy to get into.

Why nursing? There are so many more worthy degrees to go for that won't cause you so much stress and anger in a job situation. If you HAVE to be in health care, try physical therapy. They make more than nurses. If you want to deal with patients, that's the safest way to go. You won't have to deal with their familes so much and you almost NEVER have to put up with MD's attitudes. You can also start your own business as a physical therapist. Nurses have to work under the supervision of a doctor and haven't had the grace of becoming so independent as having their own businesses.

You should also consider Pharmacy. They make a lot more money than nurses or PT's and can work just about anywhere. No MD's yell at them.

Respiratory Therapists are doing just as well as nurses, income wise. And they don't have to put up with families at all. Got problems? Call the nurse.

Yeah, you'll always have a job as a nurse. But you'll always be the scape-goat for the complaints. There's a nursing shortage FOR A REASON. It's a horrible job.
