Physical therapist and Nursing which one is better for college student and more beneficial and why? thanks?

which do you prefer in terms everything including jobs, salary

nursing is a 4 year Bachelor degree

PT is now a 7 year Doctorate (4 year Bachelors degree is required to apply to PT school which is 3 years)

It depends what you want to do.

My BF is a nurse, she started in a hospital, then worked as a school nurse for 3 years and now works in a private clinic. she hated the hospital but loved the other 2 jobs. she lived in ND for the first 2 jobs, made $28k at the hospital, $25k as a school nurse, now she lives in NM and earns $35.

My college roommate just graduated w/PT in May, she lives in LA & specializes in pediatric PT, she loves it and makes $60k a year.

So it depends on how much school you are willing to do & if you can get into a PT school.

You would make a lot more money as a PT, at least you would in Canada.

Both are excellent choices. Jobs are available everywhere for nurses and for PT's. Salaries will be competitive, around 40 K to start, but PT's will probably have more of a M-F type schedule and a lot of nurses work 3 twelve hour days, including every 3rd weekend.

Why dont you try Pharmacy? its the best compared to nursing and PT.
