Should I spend the money to go to college learn a new trade like nursing or something that is in high demand?

I currently make 7.25/hr. Not much at all. Would it be worth it to go to school and learn something higher in pay and demand, like nursing which seems to be in demand everywhere or something like that in the medical field? Or would it be better or the same to just get a second job part time to bring in extra income? My husband makes about 9/hr so we have two incomes but I want to do more than live comfortably I want to be able to afford extras also.

I would have to work part time at least to pay for my school and maybe get a loan also.

You don't say if you could survive for two years on one salary, but if you can, the answer is YES -- INVEST TWO YEARS IN SCHOOL. It will pay off for the rest of your working life. There are lots of options: Nurse, Radiologic Tech, Physical or Occupational Therapist, Lab Tech, etc. All are in demand all over the nation, and all pay well. Is it a pain to go back to school for two years? Yes, but not as big a pain as working at low-paying jobs the rest of your life.

I think you should go back to school. It's only a short period of sacrifice to benefit you and your family for the rest of your lives. I'm currently enrolled in school. Our family only has one income and we have no money for anything. At times it is hard and I want to quit school and get a job for extra income. But I don't. I just look at the big picture.
