Is a community college better or a nursing school to become a RN?

Don't worry i'm in the same situation. If you can get into a nursing school then take advantage of it!
A community college will usually only offer up to an associates degree. Some people do this and while working their jobs as nurses, also study to get their BSN. The upside to this is that some jobs offer reimbursement for getting your bachelors or master's depending on where you are and you don't have to spend as much $$$ on finishing up other GE's
At the university level, Bachelor's in nursing is usually offered. Here in Cali it tends to be a lot harder and more competitive.

But i say, go with what you can get into! If you can't afford it now, you'll be able to pay it off when you start working.

Get a Bachelor's degree in Nursing to get your RN status. The bachelor's degree will give you a lot more employment prospects, and you'll probably get a better salary. Nowadays they are expecting RNs to get Bachelor's degrees for a lot of the Nursing positions.
