Are there students who just started college at an older age and wanting to go into Nursing? |
I'm 35 and taking Comp, Biology, Algebra. Just looking for an older college student who can give me some good pointers. Or have gone through these classes and now in the Nursing Program and can give me some hope? Thanks in Advance. Hello...I'm 40 and JUST graduated from a Civil Engineering program. My advice ? Well...the best I can give you is to make friends with some of the younger folks. Most of the "stuff" is still fresh in their minds from high school. Form study groups with them. You will find them pretty accepting I think. Mostly because you have much more "life experiences" than they do, and they will use you as a resource for projects that require that expertise. You, in turn, use their "fresh" knowledge of stuff like calculus, chemistry, etc...it is a mutually-beneficial relationship. i did pactical nursing classes at the age of 35 good luck you can do it Congrats! I'm not in nursing but I've been a "non-traditional" student for years. Nearly thirty when I started my first grad program, nearly forty and I'm on to a new one! |
