Will the air fource pay for me to go to a 4 year nursing degree at a college?

If i go to unc chapel hill into a nursing degree will they pay for me? and what will they pay for?

Are you in High school right now? I went to nursing school in a community college and all of my bills were covered by Financial aid. After I got my ADN(associate in Nursing), I started working in a hospital and got enrolled in a BSN program and my bills again were covered by the hospital I worked for.
I never had to take loans.

This is what the V.A. has to say about the active duty G.I. bill:

Active Duty GI Bill Programs

You can receive GI Bill payments for:

attending classes that lead to a college degree like an Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate Degree
vocational programs that lead to a degree or certificate
independent study such as online or internet training
correspondence training (55% of approved costs)
on-the job (OJT) or apprenticeship training - reimbursed at:
85% of the fulltime GI Bill rate for the first six months of training
65% for the second six months
45% for the remainder of the training
you also receive a salary from your employer
Effective January 1, 2008 the OJT & apprenticeship training rates change to:
75% of the fulltime GI Bill rate for the first six months of training
55% for the second six months
35% for the remainder of the training
flight training - up to 60% of approved charges (must have private pilot license and valid medical certificate)
licensing & certification, up to $2000.00 per exam - pass or fail
entrepeneurship classes offered through the Small Business Development Center or the National Veterans Business Development Center
high cost/high tech courses - up to 60% of the charges may be reimbursed

Other things I read said they will pay up to $38,700 if you enlist for at least 3 years, in exchange for $100/month reduction in pay for the first year of service. I'm not sure if that would cover UNC for four years for you.

A few things to think about: The air force is a branch of the military and we are at war. They can call you up at any time, regardless of whether you are in the middle of your degree or not. Also, whether you go to a particular school like UNC Chapel Hill or not will depend upon where the air force stations you. They may let you stay in that area, but they may not. This is not just a loan program - it is a branch of the military which essentially owns you for the duration of your service, and while they offer good benefits, they can also restrict how you use them.

Look into the Air Force ROTC. They give you money to attend college, and then once you are done with your degree you go into the Air Force as an officer either in the reserves or active duty. You can always talk to an air force recruiter about the ways it would pay for your schooling, and just because you talk to a recruiter does not mean you have to join. Look at the ROTC programs that UNC Chapel Hill offers. If they do not have the Air Force ROTC, they may have Army which would offer the same benefits of them paying for your school like Air Force.
