Do you have to know math very good to get in to college for nursing or LPN?

A knowledge of math is required for nursing. In particular, you will need a solid understanding of algebra.

These math skills will be used to perform dosage calculations. Here is an example tutorial on dosage calculations:

Of course, different nursing programs and various career paths may require additional math. Here's an example college's math requirement:

I suggest you look at the particular schools you are interested in and review their math requirements.

Reasonably well for Nursing - associate or bachelor's degree.
At least well enough to measure medication dosages.

Not a requirements for LPN.

Think of it like this...the next time your nurse is getting you medicine/shot/IV drawn up and calculating the dose, how well do you want their math skills to be?
