What do you think of Excelsior College's online nursing program?

I am thinking of attending the online program for my nursing degree.

There is a two year waiting list for schools in my area. I rather not wait to go to school

i know someone who is enrolled in it. they received their RN in like 6 months, and now has a great job. this type of program is far better than an on site campus just for the fact that if you have a life, or family it is flexible to your needs not just the needs of the school. plus they do have an excellent customer service system, they dont hassle you when you call, they make every attempt to solve your problem that you may be having and they are very informative. again if you have a life, or kids especially go for it. the only downfall is the price. but when you look at it you will pay about the same amount in the end.

just sign up for the online degree program, they have quite a few selections, the nursing field is defiantely one to get into. a lot of hospitals now a days give excellent sign on bonuses for RN's in my area, depending on the hospital, you can get anywhere from a 5,000-15,000 sign on bonus along with the fact that many hospitals also are very willing to pay up to 80% of tuition. the only downfall is online scholorships and grants are a bit harder to get. but very worth it.

I think on-campus programs are far superior.
