U.P manila college of nursing?

is it possibly to enroll in U.P. <nursing>even if you just passed a DECs Exam?<peptest>

Hi! :D I don't think it's possible for you to enter the college even with that exam you're saying. The only way for you to enter UPCN is through the UPCAT, and only that. UPCN does not allow transferees, shiftees, and second coursers. Only those who passed Nursing in the UPCAT are eligible to enroll there.

Yes, there are limited slots available in UP Nursing: 70 out of approximately 15,000 to 16,000 applicants are accepted every year. The small number of students is due to the limited resources our college has -- knowing UP, it's not exactly the richest school around. Hehe. :P

But if you're interested in pursuing Nursing (or if your PARENTS forced you to, which isn't my case since I took up Nursing as my pre-med), there are other good Nursing schools in Manila like UST. :D

If you are entering out of high school, you have to take the UPCAT for you to be able to study in UP. However, what you could do is enter UPM as a shiftee. Enroll in another university, do well and keep your grades high. After 36 units, you can apply as a transfer student. But keep in mind that the course you're planning to take is really competitive so there will be many people vying for a few slots..
