Preparing while in highschool for college(nursing)? |
im a sophomore in highschool & i truley want to become an RN nurse. i get good grades like a 95 percent average while managing basketball, volleyball , softball summer activites student council ect. but i want more. i live in ohio and i want to go to Florida International University and i hear its kindof hard to get into. whats some ways i can start racking up on things to make my application look better? PLEASE HELP! Volunteer at a hospital and take every science class you can. Taking AP classes is also good. I'm not sure what else you think you need. As long as you have that kind of average, and good SAT scores, you can go to just about any nursing school you choose. For that matter, you could go to medical school! Nursing is good if that's what you REALLY want; however, for a lot of people, that ISN'T enough, so be open to the idea of going into medicine. You might want to consider getting into extracurricular activities other than sports (which is not to say you should give up sports completely); you need a somewhat more "cerebral" background that sports generally entails. |
