Anyone know of a community college with a good nursing program? |
i live in michigan, i want to be a nurse. I want to work my way up the chain from lpn to rn. The only thing is, nursing careers are booming so fast that i can't find a college that will accept me for the nursing program. When i went to apply at a local college, the academic counselor basically laughed at me, then told me that i need an 100 percent on the placement test in order to even qualify for the nursing program waiting list. i checked out a few other colleges, the same problem, only 30 people out of 5000 will get chosen to be in the nursing program. I am trying to work up the chain from nurses assistant to patient care aid, then off to nursing classes. Was curious if there was any community college in the usa that may accept people that work up the chain, then maybe be qualified for the nursing program that the community college? have you tried Muskegon Community College I hear they have a very good rate for nursing program not sure what the criteria is but would not hurt to find out good luck contact Umpqua Community College in Roseburg Or. |
