Nursing in college or hospital?

Is it better in the long run to go to a 2 year community college (cheaper and has a good reputation- Bergen Community College in NJ) or to a hospital and go through their program? I don't know anyone in the profession so anyone with experience, please help out. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks ahead of time

I am a career counselor for healthcare workers...DEFINITELY go thru a community college or, better yet get a BSN. You will go thru a two year general ed program and then, two year nursing program.....might as well do your general ed at community college and then transfer to 4 year college and start at about $10 more dollars an hour.
If you get nursing training thru a hospital....it maybe that it is only good at that hospital...you should check to see if their training is accredited by your state of residence's board of registered nursing. Don't do LVN or LPN program...you will end up working in a convalescent hospital...go for RN all the way!

It is better to go to a degree program rather than an RN only program. And once you get the AA and RN, go for the BS and once you get that, go for the MS. By that time, you will have the degrees and experience that qualifies you for upper level jobs. And if you work as a hands on RN during all this, you will make a better boss or administrator.
