ALSO
Do i still have to take SAT test ??

PLease serious answers or be ready to be reported

SAT is not required in the Philippines. But go ahead and take it.....would make a nice practice for the entrance test you're going to take in that Phil. school.

Re: taking up nursing. yeah, it's a good course and one that would assure you of excellent job opportunities after graduation.

however, if your heart is not into it 100%, then you might not enjoy your college life/studies. but do give it a try...you might eventually like it. GOOD LUCK!

dear sir, it's not nice to threaten people of being reported. you could have said "your serious answers are much appreciated"

you're welcome!

a lot of filipino-americans are sending their kids to the philippines for college. in fact my cousin's son is coming back to take up medicine here. it is definitely cheaper to study here and the quality of education is comparable to american schools. nursing is a vehicle for filipinos to get into america but if you are already an american citizen or a legal immigrant, your choices are more varied and you could think of other option besides the medical field.

yeah its definitely cheaper here i mean all sorts of international students study in the philippines mostly koreans. because its cheap. but dont worry on the entrance exam. most of the schools. they dont look at your grades they will just check if you can the tuition fee. and that's a fact.

No need to take the SAT test if you decide to take Nursing in the Philippines. I agree it is cheaper to study in the Philippines. But since you are already here in the US, why go back? You're better off if you take Nursing here. Why? When you're done with nursing school, you have to take the RN NCLEX test. This test is not a joke, lots of preparation involved here. Also if you're here in the US, there are plenty of NCLEX review opportunities available. If you're worried about tuition cost, try getting your Nursing degree from a community college. A lot of these community colleges offer 2 year-degree Nursing programs. Better yet, you can work in a hospital here and start as a Certified Nursing Assistant. A lot of hospitals in the US offer tuition reimbursement especially if you go into any healthcare related field of study. And if you start working as a CNA, that will help you build your foundation in Nursing.

In some community colleges, after 1 year (2 semesters) in the nursing program, you can take the LPN NCLEX. So if you take this route, you can start as a CNA, after 1 year you'll be an LPN, and another more year you can be an RN.

But please check with the school before you sign into the program just so you have a clear idea of what to expect. Different schools have different pre-requisites and co-requisites before getting into their nursing program

Good Luck.
