NURSES!!! Please help? |
I am going into my final/third year of my nursing degree. I'm sorry no one has answered your question . . . I am not a nurse, otherwise I would talk to you about it. I recommend talking to the nurses that work at your GP. Also, post of your professors should have practiced nursing before, it might be helpful to talk to them. |

They are two very different jobs. I would work as a nurse for a year or so and you can see the difference, doctors spend little time with patients, nurses are the ones there teaching patient assess... I thought that it was a BS ...Depends what country you work in! If the uk then your looking at starting on around 17-18,000 per year! ...Nurses everywhere don't make enough money. Also being a RN is an associate degree. RNs make about 60k in Cali. Be a PA instead they make about 90K. ...google "nmas" and "gscc" and away you go =) edit lol it's changed, NMAS is dead, you go through UCAS now. ...New graduate nurses make about the same everywhere. You will want to gain expereince as a floor nurse before you jump into a ER. Give yourself a couple of years before you try any type of special... it depends upon experience and whether or not you're a RN or a NP....if you're an RN, expect around $40,000-$50,000, depending on if you work in a major hospital or a suburban clinic........
