How long does it take to get an RN degree?

I have an Associate of Arts degree and I am about 12 credits away from my Bachelor's in Communications, but I did not finish. I would like to attend nursing school. About how long will it take if I have to work while attending?

Check with your current college. You may be able to switch majors and still keep on track towards graduation. They may change some of your Communications courses to electives.

However, there is a tremendous amount of science and math you'll have to take in the Nursing program, plus you'll have to pass the boards for certification.

If your current college doesn't offer a nursing degree, you may want to go to community college. It may take 2 years of intense study.
