What kind of job can i get at a hospital without a degree?

I really want to get a job at a hospital. I dont have a degree in anything but I will be going to school for nursing within the year. If i could get a receptionist job that would be great. I did some searching online and you have to have some experience already to get a job most places. Can anyone give me any pointers? thanks!

janitor?

Volunteer and see what`s available

they won't let you work there unless you have some sort of a degree... the best think you can do is volunteer there before you go to school, or when you're in school do a co-op placement.
but as far as geting paid for working there... you're outta luck.

Volunteering like at gift shop or using the phone

I'm surprised you got in to nursing school without any experience! Why not get certified as a CNA, so that you can get some direct patient experience? I highly doubt you would get a receptionist job without prior experience, unless you live in a really small town.

Like Sugar said, try getting certified as a nurses aide. That only takes 3-5 weeks. Red Cross holds them from time to time too. I have been one for over six years and I love dealing with the older folks and making them laugh. They hate when I take a day off too!
Good luck my friend!

Cleaning lady

I don't know about the area you are in, but most hospitals do have training schools they let people participate in to learn a training and pay as you go. such as radiology , patient transporters, ward clerks. I ado know sometimes patients families pay for private sitters to sit at hospitals just to be able to get a break.
I sit as a sitter and did not require any creditials or training,
you might could get finiancial help from goverment and go on to school and get your nurses aide training which doesn't require a long time to get and you would have money and channels that will help until you can land that really good job .
As for as computer, try www.allallied health schools.com
for medical coding or just about anything. also community
colleges might help give you some info. along with community
outreach programs. Ihope you the best of luck!
