Nursing in delivery room/ nursery? |
I am thinking about going into the nursing field but I am only interested in working with babies and new mothers. Do you think i have a good chance of getting a good job in this department, if anyone has this job is it enjoyable, or high stress. What degree do i need for this job and how much will i make approx. Also i have anxiety. Which is why i would not want to work with adults. I would be afraid of getting sick is this going to be a problem? check in to the gynecology field, that would prime you for being able to work with labor and delivery. Once you have the know how you could even go into being a lactation consultant, teaching Lamaze classes and so on. Call your local doctors offices/hospitals and talk with the nurses one on one and see what first hand experience and advice they could offer you. To be a nurse, you need a nursing degree- RN or LPN. RNs make more money. |
