Neonatal nursing or pediatric nursing?

I am a sophomore in high school, but am in an advanced school where I get an associate's degree as well as a high school diploma when I graduate (for free! :) ). ANYWAYS...I have to choose my major by the 30th of this month. i am almost POSITIVE i want to go into nursing...i LOVE little kids...a lot. my friends mom is a nurse and she said that pediatric or neonatal nursing would be good for me. About how much does each job pay annually? What exactly does each job involve? There's a major that I can pick in health...so I'll probably just go from there, but I want to know what each involves so that I can make a good decision. HELP! Or send me links that I can get some help! PLEASE!!!

Go into nursing school first - they will rotate you through all of the areas a nurse works. Keep an open mind because something may come up you like better. If you like the idea of nursing, great, but just take it day by day. It's a job with a lot of responsibility and very little authority - you have to love it to do it.
Talk to colleges that offer nursing programs and other RN's - they will give you the best insight.
Both of the areas you talk about are specialities that will require extra education, so be aware of that as well.
Good luck and Welcome!
