How do a medical assistant with an associate degree go about becoming a nurse ? |
How do a medical assistant with an associate degree go about becoming a nurse ? take the RN classes offered at the college of choice You still need to go through some sort of formal nursing education to take the nursing board, either at a 4 year or a 2 year school (for an RN); there are some hybrid programs that might credit you some of the MA to a LVN; check with the nursing board in your state; and the nursing schools in your area. There are also some online programs; I have mixed thoughts about those. I am not convinced an online program can really turn out a good nurse since so much is gained through hands-on and interaction with other health care peers. |
