Nursing Home Nurse? |
I was wondering for a nurse to work in a nursing home does she have to have a bachelor's degree or is an associate's degree ok?? I am a nurse and I have neither. I just have my technical degree as an LPN. I'm not sure about RN though. depends on the nursing home but just an LPN or RN degree is sufficient. A lot of nursing homes use LPN's rather than RN's. The one I work at has both but far more LPN's. I believe an associate degree is acceptable. But, it could also depend on the nursing home and their requirements. Here you have to be a LPN to give meds and do wound treatments to do other things above that you have to be an RN. I live in NY state and am a nurse |
