How much money do registered nurses make with an associates degree?

How much money do registered nurses make with an associates degree?

Danielle,

This is a very variable amount, and the salary estimates I have seen are a little behind the current actual salaries. The Bureau of Labor Statistics and the National Salary Surveys currently report the national average RN salary at approximately $55,000/yr with the usual differential for a BSN over an ADN an associates degree nurse would make approximately $2000 to $3000 less per year in an entry level job. Any significant diferences in the pay scales noted for a BSN RN over an ADN RN would possible be seen in more experienced nurses as they moved into those nursing management and other nursing positions which are often reserved for BSNs or in which BSNs have a hiring preference.

Depending on where you live and where you work, I believe anywhere from $21-35

I make $25/hr as a new grad. Of course how much you make, will depend on where you live, and what field you go into.

In the state of Iowa I would estimate $18-40/hour. In the more rural areas I know they average around $16-30, but in the metropolitian areas they average $20-40. It really varies on the field of nursing, what state and what location within the state you work. Good Luck!!
