Rejected from getting in into the nursing program feelings???

What was it like when you got that dreadful letter stating you still have a long way to go?? What did you think of doing aftewards such as career goals?? I just want to know what people felt when they got rejected from getting in to the nursing program of their choice............Did you decide to retake classes and improve GPA or move on and choose a different career path???? share your experience........Are you in a rush to get that nursing degree or dont mind waiting in line and improving your gpa at the meantime???

I was rejected from getting in to nursing programs once...I decided to retake classes and keep my head up...I was sad for a while but hey thats life......still waiting for 3 more responses from 3 schools...Whats your situation????

Hello, I know what you are feeling right now. I have been rejected to nursing school THREE TIMES from this school that I always hoped to get in since day 1 I have stepped into the university. When I got rejected, I retook some classes, volunteered at the hospital, looked at some other career goals (such as health education, teacher, nutritionist, psychologist, etc.). However, I applied to a school much less "known" and "easier" to get in and now I am in level 2 in nursing school! It's really hard since they don't look at you as whole but only for grades. I always wanted to be a nurse so I didn't give up. If you REALLy want to be a nurse, then I would retake some classes, applied to different schools, get a PCT or CNA degree so you get more experience in nursing and let the nursing school know that you are serious about nursing school. ALSO, you should ALWAYS have plan B or even plan C in career goals. I wish you the best!!! :-)

Oh man! I'm waiting to hear from them to find out if I got in for the Spring right now!! If I don't get in I'm going to get a second job and wait another 4 months until I can reapply. It's so hard waiting but I should know by tomorrow or Thursday at the latest.

Medicine has always been what I've wanted to do. I took a little detour with a second major that I have already completed (anthropology) so I have no problems waiting for a semester or two to get into the nursing school. If I don't get in I will not be retaking any classes but at my school as long as you meet the minimum requirements you're guaranteed to get in....it's just a matter of when your time comes up on the waiting list. Sounds like you're waiting to find out as well. Good luck!
